Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy clarified his views on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he criticizes him only on political and party issues, not on personal grounds. Speaking in an India Today podcast, Revanth stated, “The Prime Minister is like a big brother to me. Any Chief Minister would see him similarly. I respect him, but I also fight for my state’s interests.”
He stressed that his criticism comes from the need to protect Telangana’s welfare and development. Revanth explained that his stance balances respect for national leadership with his responsibility as a state leader.
Looking ahead, he expressed confidence in the Congress party’s growth and predicted that Rahul Gandhi could become Prime Minister by 2029.
His remarks highlighted his political strategy of maintaining cordial relations with the Prime Minister while firmly standing for Telangana’s priorities and asserting his role as a proactive state leader.
