Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to inaugurate the newly renovated Bathukamma Kunta in Amberpet , Hyderabad, today. The inauguration will be followed by the Bathukamma festival celebrations, where around 2,500 people are expected to participate.
The Bathukamma Kunta, spread over five acres, has been restored by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) at a cost of Rs. 7.40 crore. The renovation included removal of encroachments and development of surrounding amenities to enhance public access and enjoyment. A walking track, children’s play area, and open gym have been installed around the Kunta, making it a recreational spot for families and visitors.
The event highlights the state government’s efforts to preserve cultural heritage while promoting community engagement. The Bathukamma festival at the Kunta promises to be a grand celebration, blending traditional festivities with modern recreational facilities, attracting locals and tourists alike.
