CM Urges Doctors to Uphold Social Responsibility in Healthcare

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday called on doctors across the State to remember their social responsibility while serving the public. Speaking at a medical sector event, he emphasized that healthcare professionals should not focus solely on clinical work but also actively contribute to community welfare, especially in rural and underserved areas.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of preventive care, health education, and public awareness alongside medical treatment. He urged doctors to regularly visit remote villages, educate communities about hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, and support government health initiatives.
Revanth Reddy also stressed ethical practices, compassionate care, and mentoring young medical professionals. He called for greater collaboration between government institutions, private hospitals, and community organizations to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and ensure equitable access for all.
He concluded by saying that a doctor’s social commitment is as vital as their professional expertise in improving the overall well-being of society.
