The issue of Congress MLAs yet to vote has created fresh tension for Tejashwi Yadav during the Bihar Rajya Sabha election. The delay in voting by three Congress legislators has raised concerns inside the opposition alliance in the state.
Voting for the Rajya Sabha seats took place in the Bihar Assembly on Monday. The opposition alliance backed RJD candidate AD Singh for the crucial fifth seat. However, three Congress MLAs did not reach the Assembly to cast their votes when the polling process started.
This situation has complicated the political equation. Tejashwi had earlier arranged support from smaller parties and independent MLAs to secure enough votes for his candidate. But the absence of the Congress legislators has weakened that calculation and increased uncertainty about the result.
The delay also created confusion inside the Assembly and fueled speculation about internal disagreements within the alliance. Political observers say the Congress MLAs yet to vote could influence the final outcome of the contest for the fifth Rajya Sabha seat.
Meanwhile, leaders from both alliances continue to monitor the voting closely as the result could shift the political balance in Bihar.
