Corrupt DSP Gautam Kumar Questioned by EOU Over Land Deals and Mafia Links

Corrupt DSP Gautam Kumar questioned by EOU over illegal property and mafia links

Corrupt DSP Gautam Kumar faced intense questioning from Bihar’s Economic Offences Unit (EOU) on Monday over his alleged illegal assets and links with criminal networks. Officials asked how he managed to buy several land plots in the names of his wife, relatives, and female friends. The Corrupt DSP Gautam Kumar appeared at the EOU office in Patna and answered questions for nearly five hours.

Investigators also examined properties reportedly located in Purnea, Patna, Delhi-NCR, West Bengal, and even Nepal. Officers asked when these properties were purchased and how the money for the deals was arranged. Authorities also questioned him about expensive vehicles, jewellery, and luxury watches linked to the case.

During the interrogation, Gautam reportedly avoided some questions and repeatedly mentioned health problems. Officials said they will verify the information he provided and may call him again for further questioning.

The case began after raids revealed assets suspected to be far beyond his known income. The Bihar government has already suspended the former Kishanganj SDPO, and departmental action is expected to continue as the investigation moves forward.
