The cowardly killing of Tarn Taran Sarpanch Jarmal Singh will be answered with strict action, Punjab Cabinet Minister and AAP State President Aman Arora said on Monday. He strongly condemned the murder and warned that the Punjab government will punish every person linked to the crime.
Aman Arora visited the family of Sarpanch Jarmal Singh and offered condolences. He assured them that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Punjab Government stand firmly with them. He described the deceased as a selfless and respected leader who always worked for the welfare of people.
Moreover, Aman Arora said police teams are already on a manhunt. He stressed that neither the shooters nor those who planned the attack will escape the law. According to him, strict instructions have gone to the police from the highest level.
Meanwhile, Arora blamed previous governments for allowing gangsterism to grow over the past decade. He said political patronage in earlier regimes weakened law and order in Punjab. However, he asserted that the current government gives no protection to criminals, drug peddlers, or gangsters.
Importantly, Aman Arora called for strong cooperation from the Central Government. He said action against criminals operating from other states or foreign countries remains crucial.
Finally, he said the cowardly killing of Tarn Taran Sarpanch was an attack on peace itself. The Punjab Government, he added, will not rest until justice is delivered.
