CURE Scheme Housing: Telangana Approves 1 Lakh Affordable Flats in Hyderabad

CURE Scheme Housing affordable flats project in Hyderabad for LIG and MIG families

The Telangana government has taken a major step under the CURE Scheme Housing project by approving the construction of one lakh affordable flats in Hyderabad. The move aims to help low-income and middle-income families own homes at reasonable prices.

Under the CURE Scheme Housing initiative, the government has given permission to the Telangana Housing Board to build LIG (Low Income Group) and MIG (Middle Income Group) flats across the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area. Officials plan to construct the project in phases.

As part of the first phase, the Housing Board will launch a pilot project with 12,000 flats. The government targets the construction of 70,000 LIG flats and 30,000 MIG flats based on demand surveys.

To support poor families, the government will provide a subsidy of ₹5 lakh for each LIG flat. Beneficiaries will also receive an undivided share of land without paying land costs.

Officials have started identifying suitable government land for the project and will issue further guidelines soon.
