Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has once again challenged BRS working president KTR over the Indiramma Housing Scheme. Ponguleti challenged KTR to compare the housing projects built by the Congress government and the previous BRS administration.
The minister said the Congress government has already started construction of 4.5 lakh houses within its first two-and-a-half years. He also announced that work on another 2.5 lakh houses will begin from June 1. He added that the government plans to build one lakh Indiramma houses in Hyderabad during the first phase.
Ponguleti challenged KTR to accept a public debate on housing development and welfare schemes. He accused the previous BRS government of failing to provide enough houses for poor families during its tenure.
The political war of words between the two leaders has intensified in recent days. The Indiramma Housing Scheme has become a major issue in the ongoing battle between the Congress and BRS parties in Telangana politics.
