Dahi Chura Feast Absence Sparks BJP Jibe at Congress in Bihar

Dahi Chura Feast Absence sparks political debate as Congress MLAs skip Patna event

The Dahi Chura Feast Absence of six Congress MLAs has triggered fresh political debate in Bihar. The Congress organised its traditional Dahi Chura feast in Patna ahead of Makar Sankranti. However, none of the six MLAs attended the event. As a result, the Dahi Chura Feast Absence quickly became a major talking point.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Niraj Kumar strongly criticised the Congress. He mocked the party by saying the curd had turned sour and the chuda had gone stale. Through this remark, he questioned the unity of the Congress leadership. Moreover, he claimed that internal cracks have grown deeper within the party.

According to Niraj Kumar, the absence of MLAs clearly signals unrest. He also predicted that the Congress could face a split after the Kharmas period ends. Therefore, his statement added fuel to ongoing political speculation.

However, Congress leaders dismissed the BJP’s claims. They said senior leaders and party workers attended the event in large numbers. In addition, they clarified that missing a social programme does not indicate defection plans.

Political experts believe the issue reflects pressure on the Congress after recent setbacks. Still, they say real political developments will become clear only in the coming weeks.
