A daroga arrested in Muzaffarpur for taking bribe after vigilance officials caught him accepting cash from a complainant. The daroga arrested in Muzaffarpur for taking bribe was posted at Sadar police station. Officials said he had demanded ₹15,000 to help in a case.
The complainant informed the vigilance department about the demand. The team verified the complaint and laid a trap. As soon as the officer accepted the money, officials arrested him on the spot.
The accused officer belongs to the 2019 batch and is a resident of Purnia district. Vigilance officials questioned him after the arrest. They will present him before a special vigilance court.
Authorities said they will continue strict action against corrupt officers. Recently, officials also arrested an agriculture officer in Muzaffarpur in a separate bribery case.
