Severe fog conditions disrupted flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday, leading to major travel chaos. Low visibility caused the cancellation of 97 flights, while more than 200 services faced delays.
Airport officials confirmed that 48 arriving flights and 49 departures were cancelled due to dense fog. Visibility levels dropped sharply during early morning hours, affecting safe aircraft movement on runways.

Passengers were advised to stay in touch with airlines for real-time updates. Many travellers reported long waiting times and rescheduled connections.
Dense fog has been affecting Delhi and nearby regions for several days. Weather officials warned that similar conditions may continue, which could further impact air travel. Authorities remain on alert to minimize disruption while ensuring passenger safety.
