The Disproportionate Assets Case has triggered major action by Bihar’s Economic Offences Unit (EOU). Officials carried out raids at several locations linked to Kishanganj SDPO Gautam Kumar and DRDA Saharsa Director Vibhaw Kumar. The investigation focuses on alleged wealth beyond known sources of income.
According to officials, teams searched six locations connected to Gautam Kumar in Patna, Purnia, and Kishanganj. Investigators suspect that he accumulated about ₹1.94 crore, which is nearly 60 percent more than his declared income.
The Disproportionate Assets Case also involves DRDA Director Vibhaw Kumar. EOU teams conducted raids at six locations in Saharsa and Muzaffarpur. Authorities claim he acquired assets worth about ₹2.41 crore, nearly 78 percent higher than his known income.
Senior EOU officers are leading the searches. Teams are examining documents and property records to verify income sources. Officials say further legal action may follow if the allegations are proven.
