Earphones prove fatal in Banka after a young man died in a tragic railway accident on Monday morning. The incident happened near Tara Mandir Halt in Bihar’s Banka district when the victim tried to cross the railway track while listening to music on earphones.
According to local reports, 23-year-old Nitish Kumar was a resident of Baza village in the Amarpur area. He worked as a toto (e-rickshaw) driver in Banka to support his family. While crossing the track, he did not notice the approaching Rajendranagar–Banka Intercity Express because he was listening to songs on his earphones. Earphones prove fatal in Banka as the train hit him before he could move away.
The impact killed him on the spot. Local residents informed railway officials and police soon after the accident. Authorities later sent the body for post-mortem and started an investigation into the incident.
