Officials from the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) carried out searches at several locations linked to the police officer in a case related to alleged disproportionate assets. EOU teams reached the SHO’s government residence inside the Sadar police station campus early in the morning. Senior officers led the operation, and investigators searched multiple premises connected to the officer.
According to officials, the raid relates to a case registered for acquiring assets beyond known sources of income. The search warrant was issued by a special vigilance court in Patna.
Authorities said Abhishek Ranjan joined the police service in 2009 as a sub-inspector. The investigation is still ongoing, and officials are examining documents and other evidence collected during the raid.
