The race for the Bihar New CM has intensified after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar chaired his final cabinet meeting in Patna. The Bihar New CM decision is expected soon as political activity has increased ahead of the leadership change.
During the meeting, Nitish Kumar thanked ministers for their support and work over the years. The cabinet also recommended dissolving the current government. Soon after the meeting, Nitish Kumar is expected to submit his resignation to the governor.
Senior leaders of the NDA, including Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Nitin Nabin, have reached Patna for discussions on choosing the next chief minister. An NDA legislative party meeting will decide the new leader of the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary is seen as a strong contender for the top post. The new government is likely to take oath soon after the final decision.
