Soon after the fire erupted, local fire services, police, and disaster response teams rushed to the spot. Flames rose high, forcing officials to treat the situation as high risk. Due to the technical challenges involved in handling gas well fires, the state administration sought support from specialised national teams with experience in industrial emergency control.
The expert teams are now assessing gas pressure levels and structural conditions at the site. They are using advanced techniques to safely reduce the flow of gas before attempting to fully extinguish the fire. Officials said cooling operations and controlled water spraying have already helped lower the intensity of the blaze.
As a safety measure, authorities evacuated residents from nearby villages and restricted access to the affected area.
