Campaigning for the second and final phase of the Bihar Election 2025 will end in 36 hours. Parties and candidates can reach out to voters until 6 p.m. on November 9. They are making a final push across Seemanchal, Magadh, Shahabad, and Champaran.
The second phase of voting takes place on November 11 in 20 districts. These include East and West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Purnia, Gaya, and others. A total of 122 seats are up for grabs. 1302 candidates are contesting—1165 men, 136 women, and one from the third gender.
More than 3.7 crore voters will cast their votes. The group includes 1.95 crore men, 1.74 crore women, and 943 third-gender voters. Voting will happen at 45,399 polling booths, with 5326 in cities and 40,073 in rural areas.
The Election Commission has asked officials to tighten security and ensure smooth voting. It has also planned voter awareness drives to boost turnout.
After the strong turnout in the first phase, the Commission expects even greater participation in this round.
