Forced Defeat Allegations in Bihar Spark RJD Protest

Forced defeat allegations in Bihar news update

The RJD raised forced defeat allegations in Bihar after losing Nabinagar, Agiaon, and Sandesh in the 2025 Assembly elections. The party says the losses look suspicious and wants people to notice the gap between the vote margin and the number of rejected postal ballots. These forced defeat allegations in Bihar have created a strong debate across the state.

In Nabinagar, the RJD candidate lost by 112 votes. Officials rejected 132 postal ballots. In Agiaon, the CPI(ML) candidate, an RJD partner, lost by 95 votes while 175 postal ballots were rejected. Sandesh showed a similar pattern. The RJD candidate lost by only 27 votes, and 360 postal ballots did not count. The party argues that these numbers show unfair handling of postal votes.

The NDA won a massive victory in the 2025 Bihar elections by securing 202 out of 243 seats. The Grand Alliance fell sharply to just 35 seats. The RJD managed to win only 25 seats. Magadh and Shahabad, once strong areas for the Grand Alliance, also shifted toward the NDA. The ruling alliance strengthened its base in almost every region and gained broad voter support across rural and urban areas.
