Former MPs in Bihar elections candidates list 2025

In the former MPs in Bihar elections, fourteen ex-parliamentarians are now contesting to become MLAs. Most of them lost their Lok Sabha seats and are now eyeing a return to power through the assembly. JDU has fielded five former MPs, RJD four, BJP and Jansuraj two each, and AIMIM one.

The former MPs in Bihar elections include Ramkripal Yadav from Danapur and Sunil Kumar Pintu from Sitamarhi, both contesting on BJP tickets. JDU has nominated Chandreshwar Chandravanshi from Jehanabad, Bulo Mandal from Gopalpur, Mahabali Singh from Karakat, Dulalchand Goswami from Kadwa, and Ashwamedha Devi from Samastipur.

From RJD, Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav (Jhajha), Veena Devi (Mokama), Renu Kushwaha (Bihariganj), and Santosh Kushwaha (Dhamdaha) are in the fray. Jansuraj has fielded Sarfaraz Alam (Araria) and Dhirendra Agarwal (Gaya Town), while AIMIM’s Monazir Hasan is contesting from Munger.

This election marks a fierce contest between NDA and the Grand Alliance, both banking on their experienced leaders to reclaim lost ground.
