Four Dead, Ten Injured in Major Fire at Navi Mumbai Building
A devastating fire broke out in a building in Navi Mumbai early Tuesday morning, killing four people and injuring ten others. According to officials, the blaze started around midnight and quickly spread through the structure, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Upon receiving the alert, around 40 fire brigade personnel, assisted by eight fire tenders and local police, rushed to the scene. The fire was brought under control by 4 a.m., but not before it claimed four lives and left several others with burn injuries or from smoke inhalation.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, and their condition is reported to be stable. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, with early reports suggesting a possible short circuit. The incident has raised fresh concerns over fire safety compliance in high-density urban buildings across Mumbai’s satellite regions.
