GADVASU Ranked 2nd in Veterinary Universities

GADVASU ranked 2nd among country’s veterinary universities in NIRF 2025, Vice-Chancellor celebrates milestone achievement

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, has made a historic achievement by securing the second rank among the country’s veterinary universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025. This recognition underlines GADVASU’s continuous growth and leadership in veterinary education and research. The achievement also reflects the university’s progress in academic excellence and innovation, making it one of the most respected institutions in the field.

In addition to this remarkable feat, GADVASU earned the 30th position in the agriculture and allied sectors category among the top 40 institutes and universities across India. This recognition shows the institution’s commitment to advancing veterinary and animal sciences while also contributing to the larger agricultural ecosystem.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill expressed immense pride over the university’s accomplishment. Calling it a “collective victory,” he credited the dedication, hard work, and innovative efforts of faculty, staff, students, and alumni. He said the ranking strengthens GADVASU’s vision to nurture talent and drive research that benefits both farmers and the animal husbandry sector.

This recognition has placed GADVASU firmly on the national map as a center of excellence in veterinary education.
