Speculation about a cabinet reshuffle in Rajasthan intensified after Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat travelled together from Delhi to Jaipur. The political buzz suggested that major changes could be underway in the State. However, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel later clarified that no discussion on cabinet expansion took place in the recent Cabinet meeting.
Breaking his silence, Shekhawat said their joint travel was part of routine governmental coordination. He added that both leaders discussed administrative and political priorities, future focus areas, and how to improve inter-departmental cooperation.
Responding to questions about his calm demeanour despite a busy schedule, Shekhawat said today’s youth need meditation more than medicine. He added that work should be done like meditation—with focus and joy. Citing an RSS prayer line—“Yat Kantakāki Mārgam, Svayam Kṛtam Cha Sugamam Kāryam”—he said even a difficult path becomes easy when chosen with dedication.
While Shekhawat avoided commenting on any possible reshuffle, political circles continue to interpret the coordination between the CM and the Union Minister amid ongoing challenges like farmer issues, water scarcity, and investment growth.
