The Girdhari Yadav disqualification notice has created a political stir after JD(U) leader Dileshwar Kamait approached the Lok Sabha Speaker seeking action against the party MP.
Kamait submitted the Girdhari Yadav disqualification notice alleging that Girdhari Yadav was involved in anti-party activities. The party claims his actions violated discipline and damaged its image.
According to JD(U), Yadav campaigned for his son during the Bihar Assembly elections, even though his son contested on an RJD ticket. Party leaders said this move went against JD(U)’s stand and triggered the complaint.
Yadav, however, denied the allegations. He said he would respond only if the Speaker formally questions him. He also claimed he had not engaged in any anti-party activity.
Earlier, the party had issued him a show-cause notice over his remarks on EVMs, calling them against its official position.
Now, the final decision rests with the Lok Sabha Speaker.
