The Google AI Shopping Tools rollout is changing how people search for products and make buying decisions online. Google aims to turn shopping into a natural conversation, and the Google AI Shopping Tools push users closer to that experience.

Google has upgraded AI Mode in Search by pairing Gemini models with the massive Shopping Graph. This lets shoppers ask long, detailed questions instead of typing short keywords. When users submit visual queries, Google shows shoppable image grids. When they request comparisons, the system creates clean charts that list specs, textures, ingredients and reviewer insights. These answers come from more than 50 billion product listings that update constantly.

The Gemini app now acts like a personal planner. Users can set a budget, request ideas and instantly view product suggestions, comparison charts and buying links. Only U.S. users with personal accounts can access this feature.

Google also introduced automated price tracking through an agentic checkout system. Shoppers can set rules, receive notifications and approve a purchase when a retailer supports Google Pay. Partners include Wayfair, Chewy, Quince and select Shopify stores.

Another upgrade lets Google call nearby stores to check stock and pricing. A “Let Google call” button appears in local search results, helping users confirm availability within minutes.
