Government demolishing Bihar Niwas in Delhi to remove Lalu Yadav name

The Government demolishing Bihar Niwas in Delhi to remove Lalu Yadav name has created a political storm. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) says the Bihar government wants to erase the legacy of Lalu Prasad Yadav.

RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav said the building in Chanakyapuri was opened in 1994 by Lalu Yadav. He added the structure is strong and was recently renovated.

He claimed the government plans to demolish it only because Lalu Yadav’s name is on a plaque. The RJD called this a politically motivated move.

The party also criticized the ruling government for wasting money. They said Bihar is already in debt, and this demolition is unnecessary.

The Bihar government says the demolition is for redevelopment. Officials promise a new, modern building will replace the old one.

The issue has turned into a political debate. RJD leaders demand the demolition decision be canceled.
