Tamil Nadu politics heated up after Governor Arlekar sensational remarks on the issue of government formation. The Governor said the situation is Vijay’s political problem and not the concern of the people of the state.
Actor-turned-politician Vijay leads the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). He recently met Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar twice. Vijay asked for a chance to form the government.
However, the Governor made his stand clear. He said a party must prove majority support in the Assembly before forming the government. Without enough MLAs, he cannot invite any party to take charge.
During the interaction, the Governor repeated that the issue is Vijay’s challenge. He added that people should not worry about it. These Governor Arlekar sensational remarks have now sparked debate in political circles.
Political parties in Tamil Nadu are now trying to gather support. Vijay is also holding talks with smaller parties and allies.
