Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer visited the Goddess Durga temple at Indrakiladri in Vijayawada during the ongoing Navratri celebrations. On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Vedic scholars with a traditional Poornakumbham, marking the auspicious occasion.
The goddess is being worshipped as Sri Mahalakshmi on the fifth day of Navratri, attracting a large number of devotees seeking her blessings. While the celebrations have been grand, some devotees reported inconvenience yesterday, stating that water and buttermilk were not readily available in the queues. Temple officials responded promptly, assuring that necessary arrangements would be made to ensure devotees do not face such issues in the future.
The Governor’s visit underscores the importance of the festival and the cultural heritage of Vijayawada, while the temple administration’s efforts aim to maintain a smooth and fulfilling experience for all visitors during this sacred period.
