Gujarat High Court gets bomb threat, turns out to be hoax after a detailed search of the premises. The incident created panic on Monday (September 15, 2025), but normal functioning of the court was not affected.
According to officials, an unidentified person sent an email to the official ID of the Gujarat High Court in the morning. The mail claimed that RDX had been planted in the court building located on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway in Ahmedabad.
Sola police inspector K.N. Bhukan said that after Gujarat High Court gets bomb threat information, police teams, dog squads, and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad rushed to the spot. They scanned all courtrooms, chambers, parked cars, and incoming vehicles without disturbing the proceedings.
After a thorough search, the officials confirmed that nothing suspicious was found on the premises. This was the third bomb threat received by the Gujarat High Court since June this year.
The authorities are now investigating the source of the email to trace the sender. Meanwhile, security arrangements at the High Court have been strengthened to avoid any disruptions in the future.
