Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom remained the central focus as President Droupadi Murmu paid heartfelt tribute to the ninth Sikh Guru on his 350th martyrdom day. She praised his courage, compassion and unwavering faith. The President said his teachings guide people to follow justice, righteousness and fearlessness. She also urged citizens to internalise his message to build an empowered India.

President Murmu reminded the nation that the strength to face challenges with determination comes from the Guru’s supreme sacrifice. She said his life inspires humanity across faiths and generations. Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom continues to stand as a symbol of religious freedom and human rights.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the capital’s honour in hosting the grand celebrations at the Red Fort. She encouraged families to participate in the three-day ‘Gurmat Samagam’, which began on November 23. The Delhi government declared November 25 a public holiday to help citizens join the historic congregation.

CM Gupta also performed ‘Seva’ at the langar, which welcomed thousands of devotees. Ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra and Sikh Gurdwara representatives also joined the event. A special light and laser show added a vibrant visual tribute. Gurdwaras across India marked the day with prayers, honouring the Guru’s legacy.
