Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has postponed the hearing on the petitions related to the BC Reservations Bill to tomorrow at 2:15 PM. Advocate General Revu stated that a few more arguments would be presented during the next session. The petitioners had requested the court to stay the nomination process, but the High Court refused to grant an interim order.
This development has fueled speculation that the court may soon give a green signal to the implementation of the BC Reservations Bill. Meanwhile, with no immediate restraining order in place, officials are preparing to issue the Phase-1 election notification tomorrow morning.
The case holds major political significance, as it will determine the future of BC representation in local body elections across Telangana. The government remains confident that its reservation policy will be upheld as constitutionally valid.
