A major heroin seizure in Bihar has exposed an interstate drug network operating between Assam and Bihar. Police recovered drugs worth around ₹90 lakh from Patna and Darbhanga in a joint operation.
The heroin seizure in Bihar took place after the Anti-Narcotics Task Force and police acted on a tip-off. Officials raided locations in Darbhanga and Patna’s Shahpur area, leading to the arrest of five accused.
In Darbhanga, police caught three suspects with about 228 grams of heroin. Based on their inputs, another raid in Patna led to the arrest of two brothers. Authorities recovered 117 grams of heroin, along with a vehicle, mobile phones, and gold items.
Investigators said the drugs were supplied from Silchar in Assam through a network run by a supplier currently based in Guwahati. The accused were distributing drugs across multiple states.
Police have registered cases and are now tracking other members of the network.
