Varanasi: A surprising incident took place at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport when Hindu Girl Pooja Kushwaha in Burqa was stopped during a security check before boarding a flight to Mumbai. Security staff noticed a mismatch between her appearance and her Aadhaar card details, which carried a Hindu name.
Officials questioned the passenger and identified her as Pooja Kushwaha, a resident of Gopalganj in Bihar. She had reached the airport wearing a black burqa with a man named Imran. Authorities became suspicious and took both of them to a private screening room for questioning.
During interrogation, police learned that the matter was linked to a love affair. Hindu Girl Pooja Kushwaha in Burqa reportedly wanted to reunite with her boyfriend Siraj in Mumbai. To avoid recognition, she wore the burqa while traveling with Siraj’s relative.
Police informed her family and cancelled their journey. The case created tension at the airport after local activists gathered at the police post.
