According to the IMD forecast: when temperatures will rise in UP, Bihar, Delhi NCR, the cold wave will continue for a few more days. However, after January 10–11, warm winds are expected to raise temperatures slightly, giving people relief from extreme cold.

In Uttar Pradesh, dense fog and chilly mornings will continue until January 8. After that, temperatures may rise a bit as the fog thins. Bihar and Delhi NCR will see similar mild warming in the coming week.

Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan are still facing intense cold. Some places in Punjab and Haryana reported temperatures below 5°C. Jammu & Kashmir remains under a strong cold wave with sub-zero nights.

The weather department advises people to stay warm and take care of children and the elderly during the ongoing cold spell.
