India and Singapore Unite Against Terrorism, Strengthen Bilateral Ties

India and Singapore leaders addressing joint press conference on terrorism

The India and Singapore unite against terrorism, strengthen bilateral ties message was delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a joint press conference with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in New Delhi on Thursday.

PM Modi said both nations share common concerns about terrorism and believe that fighting it together is the responsibility of all countries. He thanked Singapore for condemning the Pahalgam terror attack and standing firmly with India in its fight against terrorism.

At least 26 people lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack, carried out by four heavily armed terrorists linked to The Resistance Front, an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba. In response, Indian forces launched Operation Sindoor against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

PM Wong expressed solidarity on social media soon after the attack, stating Singapore’s strong condemnation of terrorism and offering condolences to victims’ families. Singapore’s Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan also expressed grief and support for India.

Wong is on a three-day official visit to India, his first since assuming office. The visit, marked by high-level meetings at Hyderabad House, underscores the growing strategic partnership between India and Singapore.

The India and Singapore unite against terrorism, strengthen bilateral ties message reflects a shared commitment to peace and security.
