Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that India showed how strong our retaliation can be through Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. He made the remarks while addressing a group of 1965 war veterans.
Mr. Singh highlighted that the courage and coordination of the armed forces proved that “victory is no longer an exception, it has become our habit.” He stressed that India showed how strong our retaliation can be when its forces carried out the strikes with determination and precision.
The Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, deeply shook the nation. However, the government resolved to punish the perpetrators. Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed that terrorists would be taught a lesson they could never have imagined.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting terrorist infrastructure across the border. The operation triggered four days of fierce clashes before both sides agreed to halt military actions on May 10.
Rajnath Singh also said India has always faced challenges from its neighbours, but never surrendered to fate. Instead, the country shaped its own future with resilience and determination.
