The Indian Coast Guard has seized three tankers linked to Iran that are under U.S. sanctions. The vessels were intercepted about 100 nautical miles west of Mumbai during a special operation at sea.

Officials said the ships were suspected of violating international sanctions related to trade with Iran. After receiving intelligence inputs, Coast Guard teams tracked and stopped the tankers for inspection. The vessels were later brought under control for further investigation.

Authorities are now examining documents and cargo details to determine the nature of the shipments and whether any laws were violated. The crew members are also being questioned.

The action shows India’s commitment to maritime security and enforcement of international regulations. Officials said further steps will be taken based on the findings of the investigation. The incident has drawn attention due to ongoing global concerns about sanctions and maritime trade.
