Allegations within the ruling Congress Party have sparked controversy ahead of the Mother Dairy elections. MLA Mandula Samel from Tungaturthi accused government whip and Alair MLA Beerla Ilaiah of colluding with BRS leaders in their district during the elections. Samel criticized Ilaiah, urging that the party should not be sacrificed for personal alliances.

He further demanded that if Congress-backed candidates lose, Ilaiah should take moral responsibility and resign from his position. His remarks, warning that party workers would hold Ilaiah accountable, have become a hot topic within the party.

The Mother Dairy elections, scheduled for September 27, have seen unexpected developments, with both Congress and BRS forming strategic understandings in the state. Out of three director positions, Congress supporters are set to win two, while BRS-backed candidates are poised to win one. The alliance between the ruling party and the main opposition in these elections has grabbed significant attention and intensified internal debates in Congress.
