Jaipur Set for IT transformation as the Bhajanlal government accelerates its push to make Rajasthan a major technology hub. The state plans to establish more than 200 Global Capability Centres and generate around 1.5 lakh jobs by 2030.
The strategy will take centre stage at the Rajasthan DigiFest TiE Global Summit 2026, scheduled from January 4 to 6. The government sees the event as a key platform to attract global investors and showcase policy reforms.
Over the past two years, Rajasthan has rolled out four major technology-focused policies. These include the Global Capability Centre Policy 2025, AVGC Policy 2024, Data Centre Policy 2025, and AI-ML Policy 2026. Together, they target IT services, artificial intelligence, data infrastructure, and creative industries.
The government has placed strong emphasis on data centres. Jaipur’s Bhamashah Data Centre already operates as a Tier-4 facility with 800-rack capacity. The new data centre policy offers incentives like asset creation support, power subsidies, land concessions, and stamp duty exemptions.
Global Capability Centres form the next growth pillar. Jaipur’s proximity to NCR, strong connectivity, and lower costs make it attractive. Udaipur and Jodhpur will also emerge as GCC hubs.
The AVGC policy supports animation, gaming, and visual effects startups. Meanwhile, the AI-ML policy focuses on ethical AI use, cybercrime control, and citizen-centric governance.
Rajasthan currently hosts over 7,200 iStart-registered startups, driving investments and employment growth.
