Amid the Bihar elections, Nitish Kumar’s party, JDU, has taken strict action against rebel leaders. The JDU expelled 16 members, including Gopalpur MLA Gopal Mandal, for anti-party activities. This move reflects the party’s effort to maintain discipline during the Bihar assembly elections 2025.
The expelled leaders include former ministers Shailesh Kumar and Himraj Singh, former MLCs Sanjeev Shyam Singh, Sanjay Prasad, and Ranvijay Singh, and former MLAs Maheshwar Prasad Yadav, Sudarshan Kumar, and Shyam Bahadur Singh. Others like Prabhat Kiran, Dr. Asma Parveen, Asha Suman, and Vivek Shukla were also removed.
The JDU stated that these leaders acted against the organization after being denied party tickets. The decision sends a clear message that indiscipline will not be tolerated during this crucial election phase. The JDU expels 16 leaders in Bihar to protect its unity and ensure a strong performance in the polls.
