Begusarai, Bihar – JDU student leader Sonu Rai shot in Begusarai on Wednesday morning, creating panic in the area. The incident happened when Sonu Rai was heading to a gym near his home in the Lohia Nagar police station area.
According to police, unknown attackers suddenly opened fire near Bagha Gumbati. Sonu Rai suffered gunshot injuries and collapsed on the spot. Local people rushed to help and took him to Begusarai Sadar Hospital without delay.
Doctors said Sonu Rai remains in critical condition. A medical team is closely monitoring his health. Family members and party supporters gathered at the hospital after hearing the news.
Police officers reached the crime scene soon after the attack. They began an investigation and collected evidence from the area. The police are checking CCTV footage and questioning nearby residents to identify the shooters.
