The Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election has drawn massive public and political attention, with as many as 120 individuals collecting nomination forms to contest the poll. According to officials, this indicates a highly competitive election, as all forms must be submitted by October 21.
Out of these, 35 candidates have already filed their nominations, taking the total count to 155 nominations so far, with more expected before the deadline. The unusually high number of contestants reflects intense interest from both mainstream party members and independent aspirants, including those dissatisfied with party selections.
Observers note that this surge of nominations could lead to one of the most crowded electoral contests in recent times, underscoring the prestige and political weight attached to the Jubilee Hills constituency.
