Hyderabad: Congress MLC Vijaya Shanthi has made sensational allegations regarding the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election. She claimed that with Congress poised for victory, the BRS party is allegedly plotting unethical strategies to manipulate the outcome.
Vijaya Shanthi stated that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has officially withdrawn from the contest, citing an alliance understanding with BJP. However, she alleged that TDP is secretly supporting BRS by deploying party workers to favor the ruling party, while BJP fields a “dummy candidate” to conceal this arrangement.
She further accused BJP of orchestrating covert support to BRS in order to damage Congress’s winning chances, creating a triangular web of opportunistic politics. Vijaya Shanthi urged local Congress workers to actively inform Jubilee Hills voters about these alleged manipulations and the opportunistic tactics of BRS, BJP, and TDP, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding democratic choice in the by-election.
