Kavitha Signals Launch of New Political Party, Hints at Contesting Next Assembly Polls
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha has indicated plans to launch a new political party and hinted at contesting the next Telangana Assembly elections. Speaking four months after parting ways with the BRS, Ms. Kavitha said she was seriously considering forming a separate political platform to pursue her vision and address public issues more effectively.
She stated that her decision to step away from the BRS was driven by differences over political approach and leadership style. Emphasising the need for an alternative voice in State politics, Ms. Kavitha said her proposed party would focus on social justice, women’s empowerment, and transparent governance. She added that discussions were underway with supporters and like-minded leaders across the State.
While stopping short of announcing a formal timeline, Ms. Kavitha made it clear that she intends to remain active in politics and play a decisive role in the next Assembly polls. Political observers say her move could alter electoral dynamics, particularly if she succeeds in consolidating regional and youth support.
