Former MP and Telangana Jagruthi President *Kalvakuntla Kavitha* visited *Gajularamaram Basti* in Qutbullapur following widespread demolitions of unauthorized structures in Survey Number 307 on Sunday. The demolitions were carried out with heavy police presence using hydraulic machinery, affecting several long-standing homes in the area.
Local residents protested, urging the demolition teams to halt the operations, leading to heated arguments between authorities and the affected community. Hundreds of homes in Devender Nagar, Balayya Basti, and Galipochamma Basti were reportedly demolished, while authorities claimed that some residents had occupied government land illegally.
During her visit, Kavitha met the affected families, expressing concern over the lack of prior notices and the sudden nature of the demolitions. She highlighted the distress caused to residents who had lived in their homes for many years and called for fair treatment and due process, urging authorities to address the grievances of displaced families with empathy and justice.
