The Khaddar Village School Building Construction will begin soon, Himachal Education Minister Rohit Thakur announced during the annual prize distribution ceremony at Government Senior Secondary School, Khaddar. He said the state government approved ₹30 lakh for the project, and work on the new building will start shortly. This marks a significant step toward improving facilities at the Khaddar Village School Building Construction site.

Thakur praised the school’s strong performance. The institution achieved 100% results in Class 10 and Class 12 exams last year. He also appreciated local villagers for contributing ₹16 lakh to purchase three bighas of land to support the school’s infrastructure growth.

The minister highlighted the government’s broader efforts to strengthen education across the state. Over the last three years, the government appointed nearly 7,000 regular teachers. Recruitment for over 9,000 additional posts is currently underway, including TGTs, JBTs, lecturers, C&V teachers and NTTs.

Thakur encouraged students and teachers to continue their good work. He also stressed the need for regular school inspections to ensure high standards and accountability.

He added that the government introduced English-medium education from Class 1 to help rural students compete globally. He noted that Himachal Pradesh performed exceptionally well in both ASER and NAS surveys due to these reforms.
