Lovely Professional University’s standout rifle shooter, Khwaish Sharma, won the silver medal in the 50m rifle event at the Khelo India University Games 2025 in Jaipur. The competition took place at the state-of-the-art Oases Shooting Range, where top university shooters from across India showcased high-level precision and focus.
Originally from Fatehpur Shekhawati, Rajasthan, Khwaish impressed with her consistency and calm under pressure, displaying disciplined breathing and exceptional shot accuracy. Her performance reaffirmed her rising status in Indian rifle shooting.
After securing silver, Khwaish thanked her family, coaches, and supporters for their guidance. She said competing alongside Olympians felt like “a dream come true” and shared her ambition to represent India in upcoming international events.
Khwaish praised KIUG for offering young athletes a national platform, adding that the event motivates players and strengthens their competitive experience. Her latest achievement reflects years of dedication, rigorous training, and a strong commitment to excellence.
