Knowledge Centre to Be Established at KMC to Boost Education and Skills
The Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) is set to establish a Knowledge Centre, Union Minister for Education announced on Thursday, aiming to enhance access to information, learning resources, and skill development opportunities for residents. The initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to promote education, digital literacy, and innovation at the local level.
The Knowledge Centre will house digital libraries, learning labs, and training facilities, enabling students, professionals, and entrepreneurs to access educational content and vocational programs. The Minister highlighted that the centre would also serve as a hub for community engagement, workshops, and seminars, fostering knowledge sharing and skill enhancement across various age groups.
Officials said the project would be implemented in phases, ensuring state-of-the-art infrastructure, technology integration, and support for local initiatives. By creating such a facility, the government aims to empower citizens with information and skills critical for personal growth, employment opportunities, and participation in the knowledge-driven economy of the future.
