A case filed against woman for ‘blackmailing’ Kodur MLA has added a new turn to a controversy involving a Jana Sena Party legislator. The MLA’s mother lodged an extortion complaint against the woman at a police station in Tirupati on Tuesday.
According to the complaint, the woman demanded money and allegedly threatened to damage the MLA’s reputation. The complainant said the demands continued over a period of time and caused mental stress to the family.
Police officials said the woman had earlier made allegations of sexual exploitation against the Kodur MLA. The new complaint claims those accusations were part of an attempt to pressure the family for financial gain.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the law. Officers said they have begun collecting call records, messages, and other evidence related to the alleged demands.
The police also said they would examine the earlier allegations made by the woman. They stressed that the investigation would remain fair and fact-based.
Leaders from the Jana Sena Party said they have faith in the legal process. They urged authorities to act firmly and ensure justice.
The case filed against woman for ‘blackmailing’ Kodur MLA will be probed thoroughly, police officials said.
