Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra launched a sharp attack on former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over the alleged liquor scam issue. Kollu Ravindra challenge to Jagan became a major political talking point after the minister asked YSRCP leaders to prove claims about fake liquor in the state.
Speaking at a press meet in Amaravati, Ravindra said the SIT charge sheet exposed an alleged conspiracy by YSRCP leaders. He accused them of spreading false claims to create unrest in Andhra Pradesh. He also alleged that former minister Jogi Ramesh played a key role in the illegal liquor network.
Kollu Ravindra challenge to Jagan gained attention after the minister dared YS Jagan to show even one fake liquor bottle sold under the current government. He said the coalition government follows a transparent liquor policy with digital tracking from distillery to shops.
The minister also claimed the previous YSRCP government encouraged low-quality liquor sales and corruption in the liquor system. He warned that strict action would continue against everyone involved in the alleged fake liquor network.
