KSRTC Disburses ₹4.38 Crore Compensation, Launches New Management Software
The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has disbursed ₹4.38 crore in compensation to the dependants of employees under the Saarige Suraksha Accident Insurance Scheme. Cheques of ₹1 crore each were handed over to the families of three employees who tragically lost their lives due to off-duty accidents and electrocution. The remaining amount was distributed among other eligible employees’ dependants, ensuring timely financial support.
In a move to modernise operations, KSRTC also launched a new commercial management software, e-Vaneejya, aimed at streamlining administrative processes, ticketing, and financial management. Officials said the software would enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability across the corporation’s network.
KSRTC management emphasised that the compensation initiative and technological upgrade reflect the organisation’s commitment to employee welfare and operational excellence, strengthening both staff security and service delivery for passengers across Karnataka.
